Local Number Portability (LNP) Requirements and Procedures
Step 1: CSRs
The process of porting away customer numbers from NationsLine typically begins with
the LEC/CLEC submitting a Customer Service Request (CSR). Please obtain the CSR
prior to submitting a Local Service Request (LAR) to NationsLine.
How to submit a CSR CSR request require the following:
1.
The CSR must be sent via email to: portrequest@nationsline.com
2.
The LOA (Letter of Authorization) from the customer requires both a signed and
printed signature that is sent with the CSR request.
3.
The customer name must match our records.
4.
The email requires requestors name, contact number, fax number, and email
address.
5.
The customer address must match either the services address or the billing address
we have on file.
6.
If a CSR is rejected, the CLEC to CLEC, or CLEC to ILEC agreement starts over
from the receipt of a clean CSR
The winning LEC/CLEC will need to check the NPAC to verify if the current Service
Provider Identifier (SPID) is 762C Cat Communications International, otherwise known
as NationsLine. Please refer to the LERG (Local Exchange Routing Guide) if no active
NPAC record is found.
CSR Intervals The targeted interval for processing a CSR request is 3 (three) Business
Days for either a CLEC to CLEC agreement or CLEC to ILEC agreement.
